The complex of residential buildings with retail and office space and an underground garage, technical infrastructure and entrances in Warsaw at 2, 4A, 4B, 4C and 4D Kruczkowski Street was awarded 1st prize in the Individual Facilities category in the Construction of the Year 2013 contest

The office building and a complex of five residential buildings interconnected by a common garage located on -1 level participated in the contest.

The office building is a modern Class A facility. It is characterised by an original custom body of a 3-D black stone façade. Its looks and aesthetics fit into the representative character of the Powiśle district. Meanwhile, historic gaslights refer to historical buildings. The link between history and the 21st century comes from the cogeneration facility, where electricity, cool air and heat out of gas are produced for own and neighbouring multi-family houses use.

The target design, high-quality interior finishing and the use of green energy systems, including gas technologies, allow the building to be distinguished among other office buildings.

The construction of the building is a reinforced concrete binderless skeleton system made ??of C30/37 class concrete. The building is positioned on a diaphragm wall of 80 cm in thickness and a depth of 15 to 18 m as well as a reinforced concrete foundation slab, 120 cm in thickness.

The building spatial stiffness is provided by the communication cores of reinforced concrete walls of 25 and 30 cm in thickness. Underground and overground floors and ceilings are made of 27 cm thick slabs positioned on poles with diameters of 60 and 65 cm. The flat roof is a 32 cm thick ceiling slab with 15 cm thick heads in the B axis.

Residential buildings are six-storey tenement houses, in which there are 139 apartments ranging from 36 to 140 m2. Three buildings that are located near Orłowicza and Kruczkowskiego streets have retail space on the ground floor. Common underground garage holds 174 parking spaces.

The buildings are characterised by an interesting, one-side rounded body and a stone façade decorated with panels of perforated copper.

They are constructed following a reinforced concrete binderless skeleton system made ??of C30/37 class concrete. The foundation of all buildings is a reinforced concrete slab, 60 cm thick. The building spatial stiffness is provided by the communication cores of reinforced concrete walls with thickness of 20 and 25 cm. Underground and overground floors and ceilings are made of 27 cm thick slabs positioned on poles with diameters of 50x50 cm or 60x40 cm.

The flat roof is a 27 cm thick celling slab. Terrace roofs are attached to the main ceiling with balcony connectors to avoid thermal bridges accumulation.

The footprint covers 2,146.00 m2, the floor area – 16,722.24 m2 and the cubic volume of buildings – 106,216.66 m3.

All the work was carried out within 24 months.
